Kitacon was fairly epic, for my first con. I'm nt going to bother writing out a report now, since it's been ages, but it was good, despite the organisational issues and lack of masquerade music D:
Expo wasn't that good - I guess it's what you make of it, but we were really tired and way too hot (although at least we weren't in pleather, but I was wearing a long-sleeved ruffle shirt, short corset and stupid boots, carrying evil keyblades, so I guess I deserved what I got XD). Next time, I'll bring a practical cosplay (pffft, Anthy's so not). Neff came as Yuffie, which was nice. Can't find any photos of the either of us though, which is a little irritating, but hey. We will continue to trawl! Met lots of my friends briefly though, (although blatantly missing loads - James and Natto, where were you?!), but we mainly spent the day sitting around and laughing at Dani for jumping at bees xD.
At the moment we're planning couple cosplays for Aya - one from an ebook no-one will have heard of (A Strange Place In Time, by the Magic Rat, anyone?), Kuroshitsuji (because we've wanted to for aaaaages, but it's still a possible, depending on whether I fancy trying Ciel or Grell, and whether we have the requisite funds), a slight possibility of doing Starfire and Raven from Teen Titans (in their tv incarnations, that much flesh is just scary otherwise), or Renge and Nekozawa from Ouran High School Host Club, because that series is crack. I might bring my older cosplays as well, because Anthy is love. I still haven't heard whether they've managed to find a piano for me, yet, and I haven't managed to find a piano to practise anything on yet, so the setlist is very much in progress still.
The new Star Trek was amazing. I'd been told that if I was an old Trekkie I wouldn't like it at all, but I loved it. It was just...that good.
We went to listen to a recording of Hut 33 at the BBC Broadcasting House yesterday - it was easily the most fun I've had for ages, even if we were blatantly the youngest people there (and voluntarily so). BBC Radio 4, we salute you.
On the happy side - I've finished my Astrophysics exams, ordered myself a DS Lite, and I am very much in love (and, as of the 23rd May, engaged). :3
